On the occasion of new year, the makers of Maha released a new poster where Hansika Motwani was seen talking blood bath. Maha is Hansika Motwani’s 50th film and it is all red in blood.
Maha is a crime thriller drama, which is being directed by debutant UR Jameel, a former associate of director Lakshman, who has directed films such as Romeo and Juliet and Bogan. Coming on the first look poster Hansika appeared in a bathtub filled with blood with a gun in hand.
Hansika, who has worked alongside most of the stars of South Indian Film Industry, will be seen playing a character with multiple shades in her 50th film Maha. The film has been tipped to be an out-and-out female-centric thriller.
Actor Srikanth will be seen playing important role. According to director Jameel, Srikanth’s role will be a surprise as he will undergo a physical transformation.
Few weeks ago, the makers also released the first look poster of Hansika where she was seen seated in a throne among sadhus and was seen smoking a chillum.This sparked a controversy and a case was slapped on her and director UR Jameel. But neither Hansika nor Jameel reacted to the controversy. Janakiraman from Pattali Makkal Katchi filed a petition at the court citing that the poster has hurt the sentiments of religious people. He also stated that action should be taken on Hansika and Jameel. On 16th December, director Jameel also wrote on Twitter, “guys,Saw all ur coments,as a director of the film my intension was 2 just create sumthing unique n not to knowingly hurt anybody’s sentiments related 2 caste or religion,I believe in humanity n not in Hindu-muslim,so pls dont create caste and religion angle @ihansika #Maha.”
On the work-side, Hansika Motwani will be next seen in NTR biopic in which Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the lead role.
