Harish Rao wins with Record Majority in SiddipetHarish Rao, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader and incumbent Irrigation Minister won from the Siddipet constituency with a massive margin for the 6th consecutive time.

Harish Rao, the nephew of KCR, has registered two unbelievable records. He is the youngest Indian politician to win 6 times consecutively and he is the only one to cross 1 lakh majority in both the Telugu states. He won Siddipet constituency with 1,19,622.

In 2014, Harish Rao won from Siddipet with a majority of  93,328 votes against his Congress opponent T Srinivas Goud, surpassing the record held by late CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy, who had won with a majority of 68,681 votes from Pulivendula in 2009. The total votes polled for Harish Rao in 2014 are 1,08,699. He emerged as five-time MLA from Siddipet assembly constituency.

 On 7th December, on the polling day,  when  IT Minister KTR  and his cousin and Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao met, KTR had jocularly predicted that his Bava would win with a margin of one lakh. His prophecy came true today when the results were announced.

Harish Rao not only improved the winning margin of 2014 but he also crossed the one lakh mark. He defeated the BJP candidate M.Raghunandan Rao by a margin of 1.19 lakh votes.

TRS chief KCR (Gajwel), his son KTR (Sircilla) and nephew T Harish Rao (Siddipet) have established handsome leads.
