According to the latest buzz in the film industry, Harish Shankar is all set to make his debut in Bollywood with an upcoming project which is remake of Telugu blockbuster movie DJ starring Stylish Star Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde. Dil Raju has decided to remake the Hindi version of DJ.
Harish Shankar has directed Mirapakay in 2011 and Gabbar Singh in 2012 for which he received the SIIMA Award for Best Director, and CineMAA Award for Best Director. Gabbar Singh grossed ₹150 crore worldwide, becoming one of the highest grossing Telugu films at the time. Ramayya Vasthavayya in 2013 grossed a worldwide share of 309 million and DJ aka Duvvada Jagannadham in 2017 grossed Rs 115.10 crore, both of which were directed by him.
Now Harish Shankar and Dil Raju are going to work for the remake of DJ. The official announcement is yet to be made and a popular young hero from Mumbai will be playing the lead. The reports are coming that Harish Shankar made a lot of changes in the script to suit the Hindi nativity too.
On the otherside, recently they announced that he is bringing a web series titled ATM in association with Dil Raju and Zee Studios.
