Harish Shankar is known as the commercial director who knows the mass audience pulse. He also has the knack of directing remakes with a touch of his own mass pulse. These so far have worked in the favor of the director as Gabbar Singh, a remake of Dabangg turned out to be a better entertainer than the original and Gaddalakonda Ganesh, a remake of Tamil cult classic Jigartanda turned out to be a super hit.

Harish Shankar’s recent flick is Gaddalakonda Ganesh which as said has turned out to be yet another super hit in Varun Tej’s career. Yet delivering a super hit Harish Shankar is playing the waiting game and he is expecting it would be worth it. Now, Harish Shankar is planning to direct Power Star Pawan Kalyan with whom he delivered Gabbar Singh, Pawan Kalyan’s blockbuster hit after 10 years. But Pawan Kalyan is in no mood to give nod for the project immediately. He is still thinking of giving a re-entry to films as it would hinder his chances as a politician. So, Pawan is contemplating to say yes. But Harish Shankar and Dil Raju are still waiting hopefully for a chance.

Recently, Harish Shankar got more than a year gap to stat his next film after Duvvada Jagannadham. Though the film is not a bad fare, Harish Shankar has to bear the burnt. His ‘Daagudu Mootalu’ hasn’t materialized and he had to go for Jigartanda remake. Similarly, After giving success with Gaddalakonda Ganesh, Harish has to still wait. The problem here is, Will it be worth it? Yes, if Pawan says so. But what is he says no, just like he did to Sampath Nandi after Rachha, who wasted more than three years waiting for Power Star Pawan Kalyan? Will Harish Shankar risk pays off by waiting for Pawan? Well, we have to wait and see.
