Harish Shankar is a talented director of the Telugu Film Industry who knows the pulse of masses and classes both. He is one of the most successful directors in Tollywood right now His previous offering was Gaddalakonda Ganesh starring Mega Prince Varun Tej, Atharvaa Murali, and Pooja Hegde, which was a remake of Tamil film Jigarthanda. Whenever Harish Shankar has attempted an original script, the film has fallen flat at the box office. Except for Mirapakaaya, all his original movies have failed like Shock, Ramayya Vastavayya and DJ. But now Harish Shankar has decided not to direct any remake and recently the director has also rejected Power Star Pawan Kalyan, who is all set to make his comeback in Tollywood with Pink remake.
The sources say that Harish Shankar has decided to work with only original scripts. The buzz is that Harish Shankar was first offered to direct the Telugu remake of ‘Pink’ with Pawan Kalyan. But the director didn’t take it up and the project eventually went to Venu Sriram of MCA fame.
Bollywood Veteran producer Boney Kapoor forayed into the South film industry by bankrolling the remake of the hit Hindi movie Pink, which was Titled as Nerkonda Paarvai in Tamil, in which Ajith played the lead role. And it was directed by H Vinoth. Apart from Ajith, the film also Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang in important roles. Now Boney Kapoor and Dil Raju have joined hands for Telugu remake of Pink in which Pawan Kalyan will play the lead role.
Pawan Kalyan will reprise Amitabh Bachchan’s role from the original and has allotted a 20-day call sheet for it. As Harish Shankar has rejected Pawan Kalyan’s film, Sriram Venu will be wielding the megaphone for this remake. It is heard that Harish Shankar is planning a new story for Pawan Kalyan, with whom he had made ‘Gabbar Singh’ in 2012.
