It is known news that Megastar Chiranjeevi will play the lead role in upcoming Telugu film which is remake of Malayalam film Lucifer. The Lucifer remake was put on the backburner after its director Sujeeth of Saaho walked out of the project citing creative differences. Later VV Vinayak was roped in to direct the remake but he has also walked out from Chiranjeevi starrer and now the reports are coming that Harish Shankar has been approached to direct the Lucifer remake.
Apparently Chiranjeevi was not satisfied with the changes made by VV Vinayak and Chiranjeevi replaced him. The buzz is that director Harish Shankar is approached to helm Chiranjeevi starrer Lucifer remake. Harish Shankar is popular for making Pawan Kalyan starrer ‘Gabbar Singh’ and Varun Tej starrer ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh.’ The upcoming remake will be bankrolled by NV Prasad in association with Konidela Productions.
On the otherside, Harish Shankar has a film with Power Star Pawan Kalyan and after wrapping up this film, he will start Chiru starrer remake.
The original film marked the directorial debut of Prithviraj Sukumaran, in which Mohanlal played the lead role. In this Telugu remake, Megastar Chiranjeevi will play his role. Lucifer is a political movie that showcases the power struggle.
