Sumanth was last seen playing the lead role in Kapatadhaari, which was a remake of the Kannada film Kavaludhaari. Though on its release day, the movie received positive response by the movie lovers on its opening day but it was ended up a dud at the box office. Currently Sumanth is working for another film titled Anaganaga Oka Rowdy. According to the latest buzz in the film industry, this film Anaganaga Oka Rowdy is an official remake of Malayalam movie Padayottam, which was released in 2018.
Padayottam starring Biju Mohan, is a gangster comedy that revolves around the story of a goon and his mates. Apparently, the makers of Anaganaga Oka Rowdy made few changes as per the taste of Telugu audiences.
Sumanth starrer film Anaganaga Oka Rowdy, is written and directed by debutant Manu Yagnaa, and it is touted to be an edge-of-the-seat action thriller. The makes have already released the first look poster in which Sumanth was seen holding an intense look, wearing dhoti and shirt. He will be seen essaying a rowdy named Waltair Seenu in the film Anaganaga Oka Rowdy, which is bankrolled by Dr TS Vineeth Bhatt and Garlapati Ramesh under the banner of Ek Dho Theen productions. The music composer Mark K Robin has been roped in to score the music.
