The petition filed by BRS MLC Kavitha against ED investigation in the Delhi liquor scam case will come up for hearing in the Supreme Court today. ED has already filed a caveat on MLC K Kavitha’ petition. In this context, after hearing the arguments of both the Supreme Court will pass orders. It is known that the ED is stating that Kavitha is part of the South group in the Delhi liquor scam.
ED has already questioned Kavitha three times in Delhi Liquor Scam. On 11th, 20th and 21st of this month, Kavitha appeared before the ED three times, not only answered the questions asked by them but also handed over 10 phones in her possession to the ED officials. Key documents were also submitted. Also, Kavitha handed over the necessary documents to the ED officials asking for permission to attend the hearing on her behalf instead of herself.
Chief Justice of the India DY Chandrachud, after refusing a quick hearing, had said he would hear the petition on March 24, but it was later transferred to another bench, which listed it for 27th March.
Today Supreme Court will take up hearing of several important cases along with Kavitha’s petition. The Supreme Court will hear Viveka murder case, Krishna river water dispute and Odisha-AP Polavaram cases today.
