RX 100 fame Kartikeya starrer Hippi which is helmed by TN Krishna and is bankrolled by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under the banner of V Creations, has hit the theaters today. Digangana Suryavanshi and Jazba Singh are playing the female leads in this film. The senior hero JD Chakravarthy is playing the crucial roles. Hippi is loaded with romance, action, hot lip-lock and intimate scenes. Kartikeya who has delivered hit movie in the form of RX 100, is confident on the content of Hippi. Let’s see the story of Hippi:

Story: Hippi Devadas (Kartikeya) is a kick boxer turned techie who is the relationship with Sneha. But he falls for her close friend Amukta Malyada (Digangana Suryavanshi). Now he wants to break his relationship with Amukta at any cost. Will she let it happen? Will they continue their relation? But will she let it happen? To get these answers, one should watch the movie on silver screen.

Performance: Kartikeya is excellent as Hippi. He has given fantastic performance. His body languages, and facial expressions are appreciable. He is in superb form, especially the ease and energy levels. Digangana Suryavanshi Is very glamorous and performed really well. The chemistry between the lead pair is showcased in a realistic way. Digangana Suryavanshi might be the only one who took her role far too seriously in the film. Right from her introduction scene to the climax, she is consistently good in terms of her body language . After a gap D Chakravarthy made his come back on the screen. He is fine in his role. Comedian Vennela Kishore evokes a few laughs with his funny dialogues. Rest of the cast performed accordingly.

Technical: Director TN Krishna chooses comic book style visuals which are interesting. There are number of double meaning dialogues. Cinematography of the film by R. D. Rajasekhar is alright. The songs are good. Nivas K. Prasanna sets the mood up for the film with his background music . Editing is fine. Cinematography is pleasing to eyes. Art department did a fine job. Production values of V Creations are lavish..

Analysis: Hippi is an average romantic entertainer movie. Plus points of the film are Kartikeya’ characterization, Digangana Suryavanshi’ glamour and entertainment. The double meaning dialogues spoil the plot.
