Sankranthi is sure of a special occasion for Tollywood. Biggies try to release their movie for Sankranthi as attention to films will be more in this festive season. Upcoming Sankranthi too is no different, with as many as four films are going to test their luck at the box office. As much as 220 Crores is at stake for these Sankranthi releases is what trade pundits reveal.
It all starts with Rajinikanth’s Darbaar. Though Rajinikanth has lost his market to some extent, Darbaar has done a business of around 10 Crores, which means the movie needs to collect more than 10 Crores from theatricals alone. Darbaar is releasing on January 9th, 2020. Next comes in the list is Super Star Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru which is a big budgeted entertainer. Riding high on the image of Mahesh Babu, the film has done extra ordinary theatrical business. Almost 100 Crores is at stake for Sarileru Neekevvaru.
Talking about the business, Ala Vaikunthapuramulo is no different, the film has done a business of around 95 Crores. Which means both Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapuramulo needs to collect more than 200 Crores to term them as a hit. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s Entha Manchivadavura has done a decent business. On total, these four films should bring back 225 Crores Rupees from the theatricals alone, which is very huge.
