Gokul Chat, a popular eatery in Hyderabad city, was shut on Tuesday after its owner tested +ive for Coronavirus. The 72 years old man was admitted to Century Hospital in Banjara Hills for pneumonia. His sample was collected to test for Coronavirus, and the results came back +ive on Tuesday.  The eatery came under the spotlight in the year 2007, when it figured among the city spots that were rocked by explosions in the terror attack. The municipal authorities ordered closure of the Gokul Chat shop situated in Koti area and sent his family members and 20 of its employees into quarantine.

The health department is trying to trace those who had visited Gokul Chat and had snacks there during 3 three days.

The sources close to GHMC revealed they were trying to find out how he was infected as he was staying at home. He is suspected to have contracted the deadly virus from one of his family members running the eatery.

Coronavirus cases have continued to rise in Telangana State. On Monday, Telangana registered 219 new Coronavirus cases, and Hyderabad alone recorded 189 new cases. Hyderabad was followed by the neighbouring Rangareddy district which recorded 13 Covid-19 cases, while Warangal Urban district saw 4 new corona cases.
