A firebrand and an internationally respected icon, Priyanka Chopra recently admitted that she faced s*xual harassment in the past. She made these comments while speaking at the Women in the World Summit 2019. When Priyanka Chopra was asked if she ever faced s*xual harassment, she raised her hand and said without revealing any name, ‘everybody in this room has probably faced one because it had become a norm with women’.
Speaking about women empowerment and the #MeToo movement, “Quantico” actress Priyanka Chopra said even she had faced s*xual harassment in her filmy career like other actresses. However, she has not revealed details about when and who. She appreciated the fact that that now women are brave enough to come out and speak about their ordeal.
Priyanka Chopra added that “Now because of the support we are giving each other, the people don’t have the power to shut us down”
S*xual harassment and casting couch have become the hot topic of discussion on social media. Numbers of actresses from South and North Indian film Industry have already came forward to reveal their story.
Few months ago, #MeToo movement created lot of buzz in the film industry but that time Priyanka Chopra maintained silence but now her response on s*xual harassment is giving shock to everyone.
