With general ticket allocations, super excitement is uproared for the ICC men’s T20 World Cup 2022, going to be held at Melbourne Cricket Ground. The tickets were sold out just in five minutes of going on sale to the public. General ticket allocations have all been sold for the India vs Pakistan encounter at the MCG on October 23 and the double-header that features South Africa vs Bangladesh and India vs Group-A runner-up at the SCG on October 27.
During the pre-sale period, two lakhs tickets were sold across the 45 matches being played in Australia from October 16-November 13 in 2021. Such was the demand to see one of the world cricket’s biggest rivalries, the allocations for the India vs Pakistan match were sold within five minutes of going on sale. Over eight lakhs fans are expected to attend the global showcase for men’s T20 cricket in Australia for the first time.
Still there is plenty of opportunity for fans to secure seats to all other fixtures in the general public sale. The tournament local organising committee CEO said that fans are more anticipating to watch the match, and they are proud of the fact that they are able to reward fans who bought the tickets.
Ensuring the same national footprint as the delayed 2020 event, a total of 45 matches will be held across Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. The Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 is scheduled to be held in Australia between October 16- November 13 and it will be organised across Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
