When Ileana was asked about her weight gain buzz, to which Barfi actress replied, “I was sick and I had to take about 12 tablets per day. When I went to the gym, people started to take my pics and also body-shamed me. Thus, I started to avoid going to the gym.” Ileana further added that she was undergoing treatment and tests for quite some time, but has regained her health. Her shocking reason for weight gain is giving a shock to everyone.
In 2017, at the 21st World Congress of Mental Health in New Delhi, the Goa beauty Ileana D Cruz has spoken about her struggle with depression and mental health issues. She has said she was on the verge of committing suicide because she suffered from body dysmorphic disorder “a body-image disorder characterized by persistent and intrusive preoccupations with an imagined or slight defect in one’s appearance.”
