A person of Indian origin in Britain has been sentenced to life imprisonment for a momentary act.

The momentary act of a person of Indian origin in Britain has made him sentenced to life imprisonment. The old man was seriously injured and died when he attacked his father with a champagne bottle while under the influence of alcohol. Recently the case came up for trial at the Old Bailey Court.  NRI court sentenced him to life imprisonment. If we go into the details.. Deacon Paul Singh (54) residing in North London lives with his father Arjun Singh (85) and mother Damanjit Singh (84). The family has been living there for about 40  years. In this order, in October 2021, Deacon Paul Singh, who had been drinking heavily, attacked his father Arjun Singh with a champagne bottle while intoxicated.

Arjun Singh, who was seriously injured in this incident, bled profusely and died on the spot. The Met Police came to know about this and arrested Pal Singh. Later he was produced in the court. During the trial, he said that he did not kill his father intentionally and that he had no intention to kill him and that something had happened by mistake. However, the court rejected his argument and found him guilty. Since then he has been in jail. The case came up for hearing at the Old Bailey court again on Friday. Arjun Singh, who was found guilty, was sentenced to life imprisonment by the court. According to the verdict of the court, the NRI will have to spend at least 18 years in jail.
