The IPL Governing Council announced the schedule of the Indian Premier League 2020 season confirming that it will start with Mumbai Indians facing Chennai Super Kings on 19th September.

Mumbai Indians will play Chennai Super Kings in the opener on 19th September in Abu Dhabi. After the tournament opener on Saturday, Dubai will host its first game on Sunday with Delhi Capitals taking on Kings XI Punjab, followed by third match on Monday between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
All the evening matches will start at 7:30PM IST and 6:00PM UAE. There is 60 T20 match will be played in this IPL 2020. Three venues across UAE will be used for the tournament to reduce the travelling of players amid the pandemic. In all, 24 matches will be held in Dubai, 20 matches will be held in Abu Dhabi and 12 in Sharjah. The IPL 2020 is being held in bio secure bubbles in the UAE and all players and support staff are being regularly tested .
IPL 2020 Finale will be played on 10th November 2020.
