Including 17 Indians listed their base price at INR 2 crore for the two-day auction, there are 49 players in the list totally. Among them, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shreyas Iyer and Shikhar Dhawan are the top Indian cricketers those who are in the first bracket, ahead of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
In fact, a total of 1214 players registered for the two-day auction on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru. 49 players are in the top bracket, which also included the likes of Quinton de Kock, David Warner, Trent Boult, among 32 overseas players.
Along with the three Indian cricketers, who are in first bracket, other players in the list are Yuzvendra Chahal, Dinesh Karthik, Ishan Kishan, Deepak Chahar, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu,Mohammed Shami,Bhuvneshwar Kumar,Devdutt Padikkal, Krunal Pandya, Harshal Patel, Shardul Thakur, Robin Uthappa and Umesh Yadav.
While, there are 3 Indian players Amit Mishra, Ishant Sharma and Washington Sundar are in the second bracket of INR 1.5 crore, among a total of twenty players. These players are on the list along with the likes of Johnny Bairstow, Alex Hales, and Eoin Morgan.
And the next bracket with a minimum price of INR 1 crore, the likes of Piyush Chawla, T Natarajan, Manish Pandey, Ajinkya Rahane, Nitish Rana,Wriddhiman Saha, Kuldeep Yadav and Jayant Yadav are part of the list, which also consists of the popular names such as Aiden Markram, Rassie Van Der Dussen, Tabraiz Shamsi and Wanindu Hasaranga.
Likewise, a total of 33 players have been selected by the 10 team managements with 217 places are to choose in the ten teams and a total amount of INR 560 crore will be at play.
