Is Maruthi dishing out the same old routine formula

Directors need to update themselves with each movie. Some of our directors who became successful with one formula somehow stick to that and it will be a major concern to their careers. We have seen many instances in the past with this scenario. Be it Srinu Vaitla or Boyapati Srinu they tend to repeat there own hit formula number of times and hits them back hard. Srinu Vaitla is now in flops with his last 4 flicks. He dished out the same routine formula and has never changed it. Coming to Boyapati Srinu, the case is the same with this director as well. Boyapati Srinu commercialized revenge formula like no other in Tollywood. But repeating the same with his every film is certainly not a good idea. His last flick Vinaya Vidheya Rama hit it out badly to the director. It shook him to reality. Boyapati Srinu is now directing a film with Nandamuri Balakrishna. Has he changed is to be seen.

Now looks like director Maruthi is joining these directors league. Maruthi is generally known for different concept flicks. His journey into films is inspiring. He became the care-of address for many small films in the past. With films like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Mahanubhavudu, he carved out a niche for himself. But Maruthi stumbled recently with routine flicks and same old scenes in films like Babu Bangaram and Sailaja Reddy Alludu. Now, he is directing Sai Dharam Tej for the movie Pratiroju Pandage. But looking at the total scenario one could fear that this movie is also a routine fare.

For example, look at the song Oo Baava which released recently. The song is about Maradalu and her friends singing about Baava who lives in the US. By looking at the song we can easily understand that Baava will come to India and loves Maradalu and spend some time with his grandfather. This is routine fare as well. Hope Pratiiroju Pandage proves us wrong.
