Shankar is one of the successful directors in Kollywood. He made his debut as a director in the film Gentleman which was released in 1993 for which he won Filmfare Best Director Award and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Director. He has directed thirteen films in Kollywood and all of them have managed to be a hit at the box office.
The creative and talented Shankar is one of the highest-paid directors in Indian cinema. It is known that he is going to direct a movie for Mega Power Star Ram Charan. The sources say that Shankar is receiving the highest remuneration in his career for this upcoming project. Shankar is going to get Rs 40 crs as the remuneration for Ram Charan starrer upcoming untitled drama.
The reports are also coming that Shankar is not receiving this remuneration in cash but he will get the rights for the film in some regions in Tamil Nadu. It is also being heard that the producer Dil Raju is in the plan to bring Kannada lady Rashmika Mandanna on the board to play the female lead in Ram Charan starrer.
On the otherside, Ram Charan is busy in Acharya and RRR whereas Rashmika Mandanna is working with Allu Arjun in Pushpa. Shankar is also helming big budget much hyped drama Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal.
