Karthi is busy with the promotional activities of his next upcoming film Khaidi, which is gearing up for grand release on 25th October 2019. Recently as a part of promotional activities, Karthi interacted with the Telugu film media and revealed a crucial detail about the story of Khaidi. South Star Karthi said, “The entire story of Khaidi unfolds within just 4 hours on a fateful night of a prisoner who is on the run and the police. Khaidi also explores an emotional bond between a father and his little daughter.”
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj made a splash with Maanagaram, is the helmer of Karthi starrer Khaidi. The shoot of Khaidi was started in Tenkasi in January 2019. The film has no female lead. In an interview earlier, the director Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed that Khaidi doesn’t feature a heroine. Karthi does have a romantic interest in this upcoming film, but this character will not be on screen. However, the viewers will not feel the absence of the heroine. It is an out and out action thriller drama and will be intense and emotional.
Khaidi is being presented by noted Tollywood producer Radha Mohan. Karthi has a decent fan base amongst the Telugu cine-watchers too thanks to the movies like Oopiri, Khaki and more. Khaidi is the first movie for Karthi to act without a female lead.
