Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy today participated in the Sri Lakshmi Maha Yagnam Akhanda Purnahuti program at the Vaikhanasa Yagashala in Vijayawada. Sudarshana sahitha Srilakshmi Maha Yagnam was started amidst chants of hymns by the priests at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation stadium.
Minister Thaneti Vanitha and TTD Chairman YV Subbareddy were also accompanied by the Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. Visakha Saradapeeth head Swarupanandendra Saraswati and Uttaradhikari Swatmanandendra Swamy along with the scholars welcomed Purnakumbha. At 9.20 in the morning, the special pooja ended in Yagashala. The Chief Minister participated in the Purnahuti program held afterwards. Rutwikku distributed Prasad to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister honored Vedic scholars on this occasion.
After this program, the Chief Minister will examine the master plan for the development of Sri Durgamalleswara Swamy Varla Temple, which will spend Rs 180 crores. Minister Kottu Satyanarayana’s couple conducted the yajna under the auspices of the AP Devadaya Department. Minister Kottu said that the five-day program was completed without a hitch. Officials have made tight arrangements in the wake of the Chief Minister’s visit.
