Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has asked the officials to speed up the pending R&B and approach road projects and complete the repairs to all the damaged roads at the earliest.
He also asked the officials to set up a photo gallery by taking pictures of the roads before and after the repairs. A total of Rs 2,500 cr is being spent to develop R&B roads and Rs 1,072.92 cr to repair Panchayat Raj roads.
Yesterday, Jagan Mohan Reddy conducted a review meeting on the condition of roads in Andhra Pradesh and viewed a photo exhibition. He asked officials to display past and present conditions of the roads through photographs after completion of the works under the Nadu Nedu program, so that the people of the state would know what was done.
Jagan Mohan Reddy wanted the officials to find a permanent solution to bridges and culverts that developed damages during the Nivar cyclone in combined Chittoor , YSR Kadapa, and Nellore districts.
The officials informed Jagan that works under NDB phase-1 will be started by the end of May month and 1,244 km length of roads will be developed at a cost of Rs 3,014 cr. Under NDB phase-2, 1,268 km length of roads will be developed at a cost of Rs 3,386 cr, which will start in December.
