It’s known the fact to everyone that new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is implementing several new policies that will be hugely benefiting the people. Now, here is another turn from Jagan. AP CM has called off the G.O. 97 which gives the right to mine the Bauxite mines from the  Eastern Ghats in Visakhapatnam district.

Earlier TDP government has supported this order to mine the 1,212 hectares of reserve forest area Chintapalli and Jerella. But, as time passed, the mining has faced several protests from the local tribes and social and environmental activists.

This created a lot of stirr which made the government put a hold on the G.O. and it never touched again. This issue has reached to the Jagan’s notice and without a second thought, he just has withdrawn the G.O. by which our new CM has got nearer to the public hearts.

However, still in few places mining of Bauxite are continued illegally and to eradicate this, Jagan has instructed the cops to have regular visits in such places, till the situation gets settled.
