Though it’s been more than a week since the special provisions (Article 370 and 35(A)) of Jammu and Kashmir were scrapped, the vibes that trigger tensions seems to be echoing from the narrow spaces of the region. From the latest update, it was known that 10 more telephone exchanges were made operational in Jammu and Kashmir. It was also known that one of the 17 exchange centers has been snapped again, reportedly. The reason behind the snapping was known as the transmitting of the misinformation about the happenings, officials said.

Reports say, 28, 000 phone lines were fixed now out of the 50, 000 functional phone lines in Kashmir valley and the opened exchanges were in the areas around Dal Lake, Civil Secretariat, Nishant in Srinagar district and a few other places too. Low-speed internet service was said to be provided on Saturday but as soon as a video clip was found that has the chance of triggering tensions, the internet connectivity was plucked off. Whereas, Inspector General of Police, Jammu Mukesh Singh says that “temporarily been disconnected due to some technical reasons which are being rectified and efforts are on to ensure restoration as soon as possible”.
