While there is chaos gripping in Jammu and Kashmir, the centre has decided to sit for an urgent cabinet meeting in Delhi today. Hence, all eyes are on the cabinet meeting on Jammu and Kashmir issue.

It was known that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and few other top most leaders will chair this meeting to discuss this issue, just before the parliament session.

Today morning at 7 Am, Modi held meeting with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Amit Shah prior to the cabinet meeting at his residence, Lok Kalyan Marg. A close source to the party has stated that the meeting encircles on speculations of the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, with a “major policy decision likely to be announced after the meeting.

It was known that as the interim direction the top political leaders of the state Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti have been put under house arrest. Whereas, security has been beefed up in Srinagar and the other pivotal areas accompanied by suspending the communication lines there.
