Veteran actress- Jayasudha, Jaya Prada, and Raashi Khanna were the guests on the talk show Unstoppable with NBK season 2, which is being hosted by Nandamuri Balakrishna. Jayasudha is a popular name in Tollywood and she has worked across multiple languages in the South. In Bollywood, she is best known for starring opposite Amitabh Bachchan in the cult film Sooryavansham. On the sets of talk show, Jayasudha criticized Indian government for ignoring South Indian cinema.
Jayasudha said: B town actress Kangana Ranaut received Padma Shri after working in just ten movies but the actors who have worked for many decades in the film industry are not given any recognition for their work. She was specifically referring to the actors in the South Indian film industry.. The veteran Telugu actor felt South actors are not given their due by Indian government.
She added, “I am happy as Kangana Ranuat gets Padma Shri. Kangana is an amazing actress. She received that award within 10 movies. Over here, we have worked on many movies yet are not recognized by the government. Vijaya Nirmala, the lady Telugu director who is on the Guinness Records, has not received such appreciation. I feel bad that South Indian film Industry is not being appreciated by the government “.
