Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor who has won millions of hearts with his performance skills in Kabir Singh, the remake of Telugu blockbuster movie Arjun Reddy, is currently prepping for his film Jersey , where he is essaying the role of a cricketer. Now according to the latest update, Shahid Kapoor suffered an injury on the sets of the movie, Jersey remake, in Chandigarh. Shahid Kapoor got a large bruise on his mouth and received 13 stitches.
The sources say that when Shahid Kapoor was rehearsing before filming a shot when a “ball unexpectedly came” and reportedly “hit him on the lower lip,” thus leading to severe lip injury. Shahid Kapoor got 13 stitches for the wound.
The shoot of Jersey remake has been stopped and currently Shahid Kapoor is on a short break. He will resume the shooting after swelling subsides and the wound is healed.
The sources say that Shahid Kapoor was playing perfectly and rehearsing before the shot when the ball unexpectedly came and hit him on the lower lip and cut open a wide gash.
In past, during an interview, Shahid Kapoor has said, “Jersey is a personal film. It’s a human journey and it touched me deeply. It is a very emotional film. I am guessing both the movies must have their own individual identity. I am definitely looking forward to seeing 83.”
Jersey is all about the story of a talented but failed cricketer, who decides to return to the field in his late thirties driven by the desire to represent the Indian cricket team and fulfil his son’s wish for a jersey as a gift.
