Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta who played the negatives roles in Nithiin starrer romantic and comedy movie Bheeshma and Naga Shaurya starrer thriller drama Aswathama has been roped in an upcoming much hyped movie Acharya and he will lock the horns with Megastar Chiranjeevi in this film, which is progressing at the brisk pace under the direction of Koratala Siva and the movie has Kajala Aggarwal as the leading lady.
Sonu Sood is playing a crucial role in Acharya which also has Mega Power Star Ram Charan in the role of student leader Siddha. Koratala Siva and his team were in the hunt for the right actor to play the role of the lead antagonist in Chiranjeevi starrer Acharya and finally he brought Jisshu Sengupta in the role of antagonist.
The sources say that as Jisshu Sengupta was very impressed with this role, he gave his green signal. He was seen opposite Rani Mukerji in woman centric film Mardaani, Deepika Padukone starrer Piku, Sushmita Sen starrer Nirbaak and Ileana D Cruz in Barfi!
Acharya, bankrolled by Matinee Entertainments, is slated to hit the theaters on 13th May.
Meanwhile, Jisshu Sengupta will be seen as Shoban Babu in Jayalalitha biopic, Thalaivi, starring Kangana Ranaut.
