Kaala Collections: Rajinikanth starrer Gangster drama Kaala, has completed its run and it has collected Rs 150.40 Cr gross at the worldwide box office in 45 days. The movie has earned Rs 75.10 Cr for its global distributors, who shelled out a price of Rs 165 Cr on its theatrical rights. Kaala has turned out disaster at the box office and incurred huge losses to its distributor.
According to the traders report, Kaala has collected Rs 60.30 Cr gross in Tamil Nadu, Rs 37.5 Cr gross in other parts of India and Rs 52.6 Cr gross in the US, the UK, Malaysia and other international markets.
Though Kaala has ended up becoming the fifth highest grossing movie of Rajinikanth, as the movie has failed to beat the lifetime collection records of Rajinikanth’s previous films like Shivaji (Rs 155 Cr) and Lingaa (Rs 154 Cr).
