Kalyanam Kamaneeyam is an upcoming Telugu romantic comedy film written and directed by debutant Anil Kumar Aalla, which is produced by UV Concepts, a subsidiary of UV Creations. The movie has Santosh Sobhan and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles. Priya Bhavani Shankar is making her debut in Telugu film Industry with this film, which is scheduled to release on 14 January 2023 on the occasion of Sankranthi. The movie also has Devi Prasad, Kedar Shankar, Pavitra Lokesh,Satyam Rajesh, and Saptagiri in the important roles. The youthful romantic drama Kalyanam Kamaneeyam has reached the break-even mark even before the release.
As the movie is made on moderate budget, it was easy for the film makers to cover the budget through non-theatrical rights. According to the latest report, the OTT and satellite rights of Kalyanam Kamaneeyam alone have fetched Rs 7 crore which has recovered the entire budget. Meaning, whatever the movie makes in theaters is a bonus to the producers.
Kalyanam Kamaneeyam will compete with Balakrishna starrer Veera Simha Reddy which was released on 12th January 2023. It will also clash with Megastar Chiranjeevi, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan starrer Waltair Veerayya which arrived at the theaters today on 13th January.
