Now is the time of OTTs. You can watch anything sitting at home. There is no need to go to theatres. If you wait for a few days, you can watch a movie at home with your family. But Kamal Haasan made some comments on this OTT revolution. He said that even though he had told this before, no one cared. He claimed that the same has now become true.
Kamal Haasan spoke to the media in Abu Dhabi, ‘I was earlier than others about the advent of OTT platforms. I came up with a plan. But then the film industry did not accept my statement. Today everyone understood what I wanted to say. Now, Indian fans are watching movies in all languages. Let’s say you have an MA in Literature, that alone will not make you a great screenwriter. It is a different art. Now even Shakespeare, one has to attend some workshops to write screenplays.’
Kamal Hasaan added, ‘I am a fan of the movie. I want to make films that people want to see.” He revealed that sometimes he would act in them and sometimes he would produce them. Kamal Haasan mentioned, ‘ Even now I am producing two films. My only responsibility is to build, I will not put a finger in other matters.’
