Ikya Kapunadu and Kapu Welfare Yuvasena have demanded the expulsion of Gudiwada MLA and former minister Kodali Nani from YCP.  They said that despite being an MLA, they are playing tricks in the name of caste and everyone is observing the behavior of Kodali Nani.

They said that it is not enough to garland the Vangaveeti Ranga statue, but to learn to respect one’s peers. They demanded that Chief Minister Jagan should take immediate action against Kodali Nani. They said that they will pass a resolution without including Nani in any party. The Kapu Sanghas have reacted to this in the wake of Kodali Nani’s remarks directed at the Kapus by scolding Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh.

Kapu body  also wants Kodali Nani to apologise for unwarranted comments.

United Kapunadu State President Bethu Rammohan Rao demanded that Kapu leaders in YCP question Kodali Nani. He said that the police should register a sumoto case against Nani. Arcot Krishnaprasad, state president of Kapu Welfare Yuva Sena, said that it is a shame for the entire state to denigrate the Kapu race. Krishna District Janasena Party General Secretary Lankishetty Balaji said Kodali Nani won in Gudivada only with Kapu votes. He said that they will defeat him in the next election and show Kapu unity.
