It is known that the Congress party formed the government in the state after winning 135 seats in the Karnataka assembly elections. Karnataka PCC president DK Shivakumar played a key role in this election. DK, who has taken all the responsibilities on his shoulders since assuming the duties of PCC president, has also managed the election campaign all by himself. He kept his promise to Sonia Gandhi that he would bring the Congress to power.

Although he was disappointed as he hoped for the post of CM, he took the post of Deputy CM with the appeasement of the high command (Sonia, Rahul Gandhi). In parliamentary elections, Siddaramaiah was given the post of CM to avoid any problems for the party. The high command also considered Sidhu’s request to give him a chance as CM last time. On the other hand, he made interesting comments while speaking in a meeting held with the party workers in Bangalore.

DK Shivakumar said he was not happy with 135 seats. He asked to prepare for the next parliament elections from now. Every worker should work hard for the elections. Assembly elections are just the beginning, he said. He suggested that we should not become complacent with one victory. He said that everyone will work together to achieve an undisputed majority in the parliamentary elections. On the other hand, Karnataka has 28 Lok Sabha seats. Karnataka is at the 7th position among the states with most Lok Sabha seats in our country.
