This film has helped me reach new audiences.” The investigative thriller drama Karthikeya 2 was released in cinemas in August at a time when the box office in India wore a gloomy look, especially in the Telugu states but the movie did well and gave much-needed respite to stakeholders in the industry. Karthikeya 2 has Anupama Parameswaran as the leading lady. The movie has grossed over 100 crores. Not just in Telugu, the film made stupendous collections in Hindi too.
