Actor, writer, filmmaker and critic Mahesh Kathi passed away on 10th July. The critics was battling for his life at a private hospital in Chennai after meeting with a road accident in Chandrasekharapuram village in Kodavalur Mandal of Nellore and now he is no more.
He had met with an accident on 25th June when he was travelling in his vehicle on the Chennai-Kolkata National Highway in Kodavalur Mandal in Nellore district. Mahesh was shifted to a private hospital in Chennai for treatment and the Andhra Pradesh government even provided funds of Rs 17 lakh for it. The sources say that kathi Mahesh passed away at around 4 pm yesterday on 10th July. His family have left for Chennai to collect the mortal remains.
He started his professional career in the field of development communication. Later, he worked with several NGOs. He occasionally used to appear in tv news debates and had been vocal on social issues. On the work front, Kathi Mahesh was last seen playing the important role in Gopichand Malineni’ directorial venture Krack in which Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan played the lead roles.
Kathi Mahesh also gained fame after being a contestant on the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 1 Telugu, which was hosted by young Tiger Jr NTR.
