Keerthy Suresh who played the role of Mahanati and won millions of heart with her wonderful performance, has busted latest rumour and said, no any filmmaker has approached her to play the role of late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa. Keerthy Suresh is one of the talented actress who got the opportunity to essay the role of Savitri in the biopic of the legendary actress, in the direction of Nag Ashwin. So everyone was expecting that Keerthy Suresh will play the role of Jayalalithaa.
There is a buzz in the film Industry that the makers of Jayalalithaa biopic have approached Keerthy Suresh and she has given her green signal but finally Keerthy Suresh has said, neither makers have approached her, nor she is going to become the part of Jayalaitha biopic. Keerthy Suresh added, “ To play the role of Jayalalithaa is not a joke and I don’t have courage to essay her role on screen.”
Earlier Telugu filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao confirmed that he was working on the biopic with Anushka Shetty. However, the director passed away in May 2017. Later on 15th August 2018, Vibri Media, announced that their next project would be a biopic on late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The biopic will be launched on Jayalalithaa’s birthday, on 24th February next year.
Recently in an interview, the lady superstar Nayantara also opened up about Jayalalitha biopic and said, “I don’t know if it would be apt for me, but I’d like to be part of Former politician and actress J Jayalalithaa’s biopic.”
The filmmaker Vijay is overseeing the pre-production work of this upcoming biopic of Jayalalithaa, based on the vision shared by producers Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Brinda Prasad. Very soon the announcement regarding its cast and crew will be made.
On the otherside, Keerthy Suresh will be seen playing important role in Samantha starrer Seema Raja. Currently Keerthy Suresh is sharing the screen space with Vijay in AR Murugadoss’s directorial venture Sarkar.
