National award winning actress Keerthy Suresh starrer woman centric movie Penguin was streamed on OTT giant Amazon Prime on 19th June and received mixed response from audience as well as the critics. Penguin is helmed by Eeshvar Karthic and produced by director Karthik Subbaraj. Keerthy Suresh starrer was simultaneously released in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. Now according to the latest update, the makers of Penguin are in the profit zone.
Keerthy Suresh starrer female centric movie Penguin was shot in just 35 days and is made on the budget of just 4 Cr. The movie was sold to Amazon Prime for Rs 7.5 Crores and they even offered a pay per views model. Now according to the latest update, the satellite rights of Penguin were sold for a whopping Rs 6 crores in all the languages making it a Rs 9 + Crores of profit for the makers. If the dubbing rights of the film were sold it would become a 10 Crore profit film.
The movie Penguin revolves around a pregnant mother, who sets out on an adventurous journey to find her lost son. It is bankrolled by Karthik Subbaraj in association with Passion Studios Productions, has the music by Santosh Narayanan, cinematography handled by Kharthik Phalani and editing by Anil Krish.
