Yesteryear actress, Isha Koppikar has officially joined the BJP (Bhartiya Janatha Party). Isha Koppikar was recently seen in Nikhil Siddhartha starrer Keshava and now she has taken a different route. She is going to test her luck in politics.
Isha Koppikar is well known face for North and South Indian audiences. She made her Bollywood debut in 2002 with an item song in Ram Gopal Varma’s directorial venture Company, based on the underworld. She has also been the part of several movies in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi languages.
According to the latest update, Isha Koppikar has joined Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) in the presence of Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari in Mumbai. The actress has been appointed as the working president of Women Transport Wing of BJP. Few days ago, veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee had joined the BJP in West Bengal. In 2015, Rupa Ganguly joined the BJP . Now she is a Rajya Sabha member. Finally Isha Koppikar has also joined BJP.
Isha Koppikar thanked the party for the warm welcome and said she looks forward to serve the nation”. Isha Koppikar said, ”I will try my best to fulfill all the responsibilities the Bhartiya Janatha party gives me. I will also make sure that I can do all that is in my capacity to serve the country.”
