According to Khairatabad RTA officials, the director Krish got the fancy number TS 09 FC 9999 for Rs 9 Lakh in the bidding process. It is heard that about 19 members competed for this fancy numbers but the number was granted to Krish. The director paid the amount in the form of Demand Draft as per the requirement of RTA.
Krish made his directorial debut in 2008 with Gamyam and followed it up with Vedam in 2010. Both the movies garnered widespread critical acclaim, fetching him the Nandi Award and Filmfare Award for Best Director. In 2015, he helmed a war drama Kanche in which Varun Tej played the lead role. Kanche has garnered the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu. The movie was selected for the Indiwood Panorama Competition section at the 2nd edition of Indiwood Carnival 2016 in Hyderabad. In 2017, Krish made Gauthamiputra Satakarni in which Nandamuri Balakrishna and Shriya Saran played the lead roles.
This Year Krish was seen playing the role of Kadiri Venkata Reddy in Nag Ashwin’s directorial venture Mahanati, tehbiopic of legendary actress Savitri in which Keerthy Suresh played the titular role whereas Dilquer Salmaan played Gemini Ganesan.
On the otherside, currently Krish is busy in his upcoming directorial venture NTR Biopic, which is being made in two parts and Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the role of his father- Late Chief minister of United Andhra Pradesh. It is being bankrolled by Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati Ranganatha, Vishnu Induri under the banners of NBK Films, Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram, and Vibri Media. MM Keeravani is rendering the tunes.
