Krish picks Raja Raja Chola for Web Series

Krish picks Raja Raja Chola for Web SeriesKrish, the nation award winning director is now entering into the web world.  According to the latest update, Krish is going to bankroll a web series based on Tamil Ruler Raja Raja Chola.

Raja Raja Cholan was a Chola Emperor from present day South India who ruled over the Chola kingdom of Ancient Tamil Nadu, parts of northern India, two thirds of Sri Lankan territory, Maldives and parts of East Asia, between 985 and 1014 CE.

Raja Raja built the Peruvudaiyar Koyil in Thanjavur, one of the largest Hindu temples.  He initiated a massive project of land survey and assessment in 1000 AD which led to the reorganization of the country into individual units known as valanadus. Raja Raja Chola died in 1014 AD and was succeeded by his son Rajendra Chola.

Krish’s web series will be helmed by Suresh Krishna. It is a 6 part web series in Tamil and Krish is planning to dub it in Telugu. An official announcement is awaited.

 Krish’s previous production venture was Antariksham 9000 KMPH starring Varun Tej, Aditi Rao Hydari and Lavanya Tripathi, directed by Ghazi fame Sankalp Reddy. The movie was released in the month of December. This film was regarded as the first space-based Telugu science fiction film . Currently Krish is busy in his upcoming directorial venture NTR Kathanayakudu is which Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the lead role and will make his screen presence in the role of his father, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. The biopic is gearing up for grand release on 9th January 2019.

In 2017, Krish also directed the historic movie Gauthamiputra Satakrani in which Balayya and Shriya Saran played the lead role and it was turned out hit at the box office. Now once again Krish has picked a historic drama – the web series about Raja Raja Chola.
