We have already reported that ED issued notices to BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha in Delhi liquor scam. Although she was originally supposed to appear in the hearing yesterday on her plea, the ED allowed her to appear tomorrow. On the other hand, Kavitha interacted with the media and criticized Prime Minister Modi. Kavitha e claimed that what she received were not ED notices but Narendra Modi’s notices. She expressed confidence that she would prove that she had not done anything wrong.
MLC Kavitha said that there is no difference between Narendra Modi summons and ED summons in India. He insisted that ED will come before Modi wherever there are elections in the country. He said that the opposition should go to the People’s Court and not to the Supreme Court.
Kavitha criticized BJP for targeting her father, who is coming to power for the third time in Telangana. She added: Those who have done wrong will be afraid. I did not do wrong. On the other hand, Kavita Diksha is going to be started shortly at Jantar Mantar in Delhi regarding the reservation of women in the Legislative Assembly.
On the otherside, Telangana Minister KTR lashed out at the Union government. Addressing a press meet KTR said: “These are not ED summons, these are Modi summons.” KTR said: Around 11 to 12 BRS leaders were targeted by Union government through probe agencies but they were unable to find anything damaging.
