To uplift IT hardware and manufacturing sectors in the state, the minister K.T.Rama Rao has asked for funds for Telangana state under the Central government’s production-linked incentive. He came face to face with the Union minister of state for IT and electronics Rajeev Chandrasekhar in New Delhi and appraised the Union minister about the TS directorate’s plans to produce around Rs 2.5 lakh crore worth production in the electronics segment.

KTR told the Union minister that the state government’s plans will provide 16 lakh jobs through electronic manufacturing clusters in the coming decade and called on Centre’s aid to fulfill these goals.
The meeting will be graced by TRS MPs Nama Nageshwar Rao, K.R. Suresh Reddy, IT principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan and Nalgonda collector Gaurav Uppal. He made notice that the present two electronic clusters were nearing capacity as components of Make in India and Telangana, and solicited him to sanction two more clusters through Electronic Manufacturing Clusters 2.0 scheme.
KTR further asked for the betterment of ITIR project to Hyderabad or allow the similar project like ITIR to help the state to attain further growth in the IT sector and offer more employment opportunities to the youth in India.
