Telangana IT and Municipal Administration Minister KTR, the son of Telangana Chief Minister KCR, on Friday said he would discuss the concerns being expressed over the proposed uranium exploration in Nallamala forest in the state with Chief Minister.
KTR took to his Twitter and made a tweet on #SaveNallamalla, “I hear all of your concerns on the issue of uranium mining in Nallamala forest. Assure you all that I shall personally discuss the matter with Hon’ble CM KCR Garu.”
Telangana Jana Samithi founder and president M Kodandaram and Jana Sena Party President Pawan Kalyan among others have started the campaign to save the Nallamala forests .
#SaveNallamala is trending on the social media with actors, sportspersons, environmentalists, NGOs, and citizens throwing their weight behind the online campaign.
Samantha Akkineni signed an online petition addressed to the President urging him to intervene to save the forests spread over both Telugu States- Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. On Thursday, the young actor Vijay Deverakonda also came in support of Save Nallamala campaign.
KTR assured that he will personally discuss the matter with Chief Minister KCR.
Jwala Gutta, director Shekhar Kammula and actor Tanikella Bharni have already declared their support to the campaign to save Nallamala.
