Venkatesh Daggubati who was last seen playing the lead role in Venky Mama, which turned out to be a mediocre film at the box office, has already wrapped up the shoot of upcoming action drama Narappa. The upcoming drama which is helmed by Srikanth Addala, has The Family Man 2 fame Priyamani and she is playing Venkatesh’ wife. It is a remake of Kollywood star Dhanush’s acclaimed rural revenge drama, Asuran. Venkatesh finished dubbing for his part in Narappa during the lockdown. Since the film is set in Anantapur backdrop, Venky Mama took special care to get his accent and other nuances right while dubbing for Narappa.
Apparently, a language trainer was roped in to oversee Venkatesh’ dubbing formalities. The action drama is being bankrolled by Suresh Babu and Asuran producer Kalaipuli S Thanu whereas it has the music by Mani Sharma.
Dhanush starrer Asuran followed the story of a man who is on the run with his kid as the latter has killed a wealthy man belonging to a different community. The movie won rave reviews from the critics and audience alike and the revenge drama was one of the best films of 2019.
On the otherside, Venkatesh will be seen playing the lead role in hilarious drama F3 under the direction of Anil Ravipudi.
