The combination of Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu is not in any range. This combination shook the box office with three movies in a row. There was an overwhelming response to the movie ‘Akhanda‘ which was released last year. This film went on to become an industry hit, grossing well without raising ticket prices. Starring Balayya in a dual role, the film has grossed over Rs 125 crore.
However, director Boyapati hinted that there would be a sequel at the end of the film. Right now Boyapati seems to be in the same job. It seems that he is in story discussions with the writers for the movie ‘Akhanda 2’. In fact the political film is supposed to come in a Balayya-Boyapati combination. It is planned to be released during the coming elections.
But now it seems that Boyapati has put the film aside with a focus on the ‘Akhanda’ sequel. Boyapati is preparing the story by taking the lead of Akhanda Rudra Sikinder Agora’s return for the word given to the child. Miryala Ravinder Reddy, who produced ‘Akhanda’, is planning to make this sequel with a huge budget.
Boyapati is now in discussions to make a sequel to Pan India as he has made good profits with ‘Akhanda’. Currently Balayya.. Gopichand Malineni is doing a movie. After that he will do a film with Anil Ravipudi. After completing those two films, the sets of ‘Akhanda 2’ will go up.
