From 2017 to 2022, 100 companies in India have created wealth of Rs 99.2 lakh crores. This has been revealed in the report of leading brokerage firm Motilal Oswal. Its 27th annual wealth creation study revealed several interesting facts.
Mukesh Ambani’ Reliance Industries – RIL and Gautam Adami’ Adani Enterprises AEL were ranked as the biggest and most consistent wealth creators, respectively, during the 2017-22 period, according to brokerage firm Motilal Oswal.
Two Adani group companies – Adani Enterprises and Adani Transmission have uprooted the traditional leader the Reliance Industries in the annual wealth creation in the year 2022 so far, while the top 100 of them created a massive Rs 92.2 lakh cr of the wealth.
Total wealth destroyed during 2017-22 was Rs 14 lakh cr, 16 % of the total wealth created by top 100 companies. The report said that Two Adani group companies -Adani Enterprises and Adani Transmission are also the top all round wealth creators.
Many companies belonging to Gautam Adani have created records in this year. On September 16, Forbes ranked second in the list of real-time billionaires with $155.7 billion. This is because Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports and Adani Transmission stocks rose hugely that time. Adani has 75 percent stake in these 3 companies- Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Adani Transmission.
