Liger, the sport based drama was one of the most awaited films, which is the first pan-India film of the young Telugu sensation Vijay Deverakonda. The movie, which has been promoted extensively all over the country, released on 25th August and opened to negative reviews but the actor’ beefed-up body and conviction was what was receiving appreciation. However, the movie fell flat on its opening day. The IMDB rating of Liger has hit the lowest ever 1.7/10.
Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya starrer Laal Singh Chaddha has been rated 5 on IMDB, while Akshay Kumar starrer family drama Raksha Bandhan is at 4.6, Taapsee Pannu starrer Dobaaraa is at 2.9, and Shamshera is at 4.9. Liger IMDB rating 1.7 is a shocker.
Liger stars Ramya Krishnan in the role of Liger’s mother. Ronit Roy, Makarand Deshpande, Ali, Getup Srinu, and others are some of the actors who play important roles in the film. Legendary Boxing champion Mike Tyson was brought on the board to play a cameo and fans opine that he was wasted in the role.
Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer Liger is helmed by Puri Jagannadh and jointly bankrolled by Puri himself, Charmee Kaur and Karan Johar.
