Drishyam– The Malayalam crime thriller drama Drishyam was released in 2013. The thriller drama was written and directed by Jeethu Joseph. And the movie starred Mohanlal and Meena in the lead roles. Drishyam was the first Indian movie that was remade in 3 foreign languages – Sinhala (Srilanka) as Dharmayudhhyaya, Chinese as Sheep without a shepherd and in Indonesian as Bhasa.
Aahvaanam – Divorce Invitation is an American romantic and comedy movie, helmed by SV Krishna Reddy in English based on his Telugu film Aahvaanam, which was released in 1997. After the release, the movie Aahvaanam received mixed reviews.
U Turn – U Turn is a Kannada movie starring Shraddha Srinath, helmed by Pawan Kumar. The suspense thriller drama revolves around the death of motorists who break traffic rule at a flyover that pinned down by the intern journalist and police inspector duo. It was remade as Sinhala in Srilanka in 2019 with the same title and in Filipino under the same title in 2020.
Oththa Serppu Size 7 – Oththa Serppu Size 7 is a Tamil film, helmed and produced by R.Parthiban under the banner of Bioscope film Framers. It made several records for having a single person writing, directing, acting and bankrolling the film. It is being remade in Hindi and Telugu now becomes the first Tamil movie to be remade in Indonesia as Bhasa.
