It’s been around two months since the abrogation of Article 370 and 35(A) in Jammu and Kashmir was happened and all the leaders were put to house arrest. Now, from the latest update, we hear that the administration of Jammu and Kashmir has freed all the leaders in those regions that are under the house arrest. However, it was known that their counterparts in Kashmir valley will be under detention for some more time, reportedly.

On confirming the release of Jammu and Kashmir leaders and lifting up the restrictions on them, an official source said that “Yes, I was conveyed last evening by a police officer that there will be no restrictions on my movements.”

He further said that the decision was came out after the government announced an election for the Block Development Council, the second tier of the Panchayat Raj system in the state.

As the Jammu region seems to be peaceful, leaders over there were released from the house arrest as per the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Election Officer announced polling for the Block Development Council election, sources said. Among the released leaders in Jammu, Devender Singh Rana. Raman Bhalla, Harshdev Singh, Chaudhary Lal Singh, Vikar Rasool, Javed Rana, Surjit Singh Slathia and Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo.
