Story: Revanth ( Naga Chaitanya), a low caste guy from a village, runs a Zumba centre in Hyderabad. On the otherside,  the young girl Mounika (Sai Pallavi)  is also from the same village, is in search of a job. How Revanth and Mounika fall in love and what problems they face form the rest of the story of Love Story.

Plus Points:

  • Performance
  • Sai Pallavi
  • Naga Chaitanya
  • Sai Pallavi dance
  • Songs
  • BGM

 Minus Points:

  • Screenplay
  • Predictable story

Performance: Every movie has a central character around who the plot is built  but Love Story revolves around both Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. Naga Chaitanya is quite sincere in his role and his  Telangana accent adds the freshness. Sai Pallavi is beautiful, charming, headstrong. She looks cute in the dance, which is pleasing to watch on the silver screen. While Naga Chaitanya is the heart and soul of this movie, Sai Pallavi is the muscle that supports it all. Sekhar Kammula has done something unexpected, yet again. Easwari Rao is the role of hero mother is fine. Remaining cast including Devayani, Rajeev Kanakala, and Uttej justify their roles.

Technical:  The entire story of Love Story is quite predictable so do not expect major twists and turns. Pawan CH has done a splendid job and the music is just magical. The music director has given the film something that no one else probably could. And in combination with the camera work, one must say marvelous. There is a lot of magic that can happen on the big screen when the man behind the camera really understands his subject. It looks like the cinematographer Vijay C Kumar understands everything extremely well. The editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is ok.

Analysis: Sekhar Kammula has done something that is unusual not just for Tollywood but in any film industry. A must watch this weekend.
